Do not remove the jet from the fire head!
Doing so may destroy the fire head.
All jet and o-ring servicing can be done without removing the jet.

Deposits on the bottom of the jet will chew up the threads in the fire head if you remove it without first removing the corrosion.
O-Ring Replacement: The small o-ring is #008.
![]()
To replace the o-ring, unscrew the jet one or two turns and grab the old o-ring with a tweezers.
Pull the o-ring out and cut it with a small scissor or knife.
![]()
Roll the new o-ring down over the top of the jet.
Screw the jet back down until the o-ring is slightly compressed.
If the o-ring bulges out unevenly then you have it too tight.
If your smoker has a recess for the o-ring, screw the jet down until it contacts the fire head.
Clearing a clogged jet: The jet oriface is .026" diameter. The filter channel is .125" (1/8) diameter. Usually the jet gets clogged from the carbide end when the smoker has been allowed to sit with wet residue in the carbide chamber. This is a result of not servicing the smoker often enough.

Use a 1/8 or smaller drill bit to remove the calcium carbonate and cotton filter from the bottom of the jet.
![]()
Use a wire from a wire brush to clear anything that is in the oriface.
![]()
Verify that the jet is clear by looking through the oriface.
![]()
Replace the cotton filter with a little bit of cotton teased from the end of a q-tip.
![]()
You don't need a lot of cotton, just a little will do. A tweezer helps to put it in the hole.
![]()
Push the cotton up into the hole a little bit so it won't fall out and you are done!
