An excellent choice for across the course, our FBase really shines for mid and long range shooting. The Ray-Vin FBase system overcomes the problems that conventional tripods have when trying to get the scope close to your eye in the prone position. Our asymetrical tripod keeps the legs off your mat, (and out from under your elbow!) while providing a wide base of support. The pivoting outrigger then brings the rod 5-1/2" over the mat. Then our patented scope head adds another 3-1/4" to bring your scope right to your eye for that last quick check on the wind before breaking your shot. The FBase accepts 1" diameter scope rods.
