The Ray-Vin scope head was invented to fill the need for a straight forward, no-nonsense scope head. Our head is made from stainless steel, aluminum and Delrin®. The design is robust and simple. One knob controls all degrees of freedom. This scope head is the only scope mount that allows you to aim your scope with a single action. All other scope heads require two or more actions to aim, having separate adjustments for elevation and windage. Simply loosen the locking knob and position the scope anywhere on the stand and in any orientation. Snug the knob and you can still shift the scope around for a final fine adjustment. When you are satisfied with the lay of the scope, tighten the knob a little more to hold it in place. Fine adjustments of windage, elevation and rotation may still be made using only one hand. The Type-II head is our second generation scope head. This head retains all the great features of the Type-I head. Simple robust construction, single motion aiming and one knob locking. In addition, the Type-II head utilizes our VeeLock scope mounting system. When the scope is mounted, the ball and mounting plate are positively locked together. No twisting torque is ever transmitted to the mounting screw so your scope stays tight. For all scopes using the standard 1/4-20 thread camera mount.
